Young Entrepreneurs Scholarship

In partnership with Fulbright Canada

The Young Entrepreneur Scholarship will provide students with exclusive access to an entrepreneurship university preparation program only offered at Brookes Westshore, a leading IB World School set in the the heart of Victoria, British Columbia. 

The Program

Students will meet with Professor Brown, University of Victoria, who will guide them through the entrepreneurship process. Students will develop a project that leverages their passions and strengths and learn the skills to execute the project. Projects will benefit the community through filling a need and/ or raising awareness of an important social issue. In addition, students will gain a competitive edge when applying to elite universities and winning scholarships to university. An important part of the college application is understanding and describing how one can contribute to the university and broader community. Participation in this program and completion of a social entrepreneurship project provide evidence of students’ ability and commitment to benefitting their community. 

How to Enter

Step 1

Submit a video essay that meets the video requirements answering:

“What do you think is the role of social entrepreneurism in making a better world today? Do you have the qualities to be a successful social entrepreneur? Tell us what they are and how you would apply them to unlock your potential.” 

Show us your creativity, connectivity, and your character.

Videos must be uploaded to a safe and secure video sharing platform of choice.

Step 2

Submit alongside your video in the email body:

  1. First name, Last name
  2. Intended grade of entry
  3. Email address
  4. Telephone number
  5. Agency Name & Contact (if applicable).

Step 3

Attach to the email alongside your personal details and video link:

  1. A photocopy of the front page of the student’s passport
  2. Transcripts from the last two years of school
