Brad has been working in education and recreation for 30 years. He has been a wilderness guide, classroom teacher, and outdoor educator. Brad has also worked in the healthcare sector as a clinical trainer and national manager. He has degrees in philosophy and education and is currently completing a Master’s degree in human and social development. In his position as Activities Coordinator, he brings together all his experience and skills. His new role aligns with his personal commitment to supporting the development of well-rounded human beings. Brad is committed to complimenting the exemplary Brookes IB academic education with activities that enhance the growth of every aspect of a student – mental, emotional, physical and social.

Grant grew up in the Cowichan Valley and now lives in Colwood – close enough to respond to any IT emergencies that may arise! His passion for technology began at a young age and has only grown in recent years. Fascinated by how things work he is dedicated to solving staff and student IT challenges at Brookes Westshore. Being self taught, Grant is a creative problem solver – a skill that is often called upon in his work supporting student and staff. “I love helping students with their IT challenges and it was so much fun to hand out the school laptops to grade 6 to 8 students this year.” With a background in small business support, he is enjoying the new challenges of an educational environment. Grant has been working tirelessly to improve the IT infrastructure at Brookes Westshore and has a strong vision for the future of Brookes ICT.

Eva Campbell was born in Ghana to a Ghanaian mother and Barbadian father and grew up in Ghana, Jamaica and Barbados. She studied Visual Art for her Masters at the University of Victoria and has painted various themes involving the people and portraits over the years. Some of her paintings were influenced by living in Ghana, the Caribbean and Canada where she was interested in the identity and culture of the people she painted.  She illustrated the children’s book “The Matatu” written by Eric Walters and published by Orca Books which received the Smithsonian Children’s Africana Book Award in 2013 and which was nominated for the Golden Oak Award and the Ontario Library Association Silver Birch Express Award. In 2018, she illustrated the book “Africville” illustrated by Shauntay Grant and published by House of Anansi Groundwood books which was nominated for the Governor General’s Award for Children’s Picture Books. She also illustrated Light a Candle by Godfrey Nkongola and Eric Walters published by Orca Books in 2019. Eva taught IB Visual Art at Pearson College for 8 years before coming to Brookes Westshore.

Jerry joined the Brookes Education Group as one of the co-founders of Brookes Shawnigan Lake. He is also the Founding Chairman of Dwight School Seoul. Jerry came to the group as a 28-year veteran of the prestigious United World Colleges movement where he was Dean of Studies, Director of Residence, and Assistant and Interim Director at Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia. He has extensive knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Organization. As part of a UWC’s initiative, Jerry became the Director of the Hermann Gmeiner SOS International College in Santa Ana, Costa Rica. This is a unique school designed to provide academically high achieving SOS orphans with the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Jerry’s role was to raise the academic standards of the school and to lead the IB Diploma authorization process. In turn, he initiated the process for Hermann Gmeiner SOS International School to become a United World College, currently UWC Costa Rica.

Linda earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Calgary, and her Masters Degree from the College of New Jersey. She has served internationally as an IB Coordinator in Kuwait, Korea, Dubai and most recently China. She has a passion for creating a meaningful and stimulating learning environment for students, and is eager to put her passion into practice at Brookes. Linda loves to play golf, enjoys cooking, and values time spent with good friends.
